Sony has just confirmed that when the PSN network is back up and running, 3D will come along with it, starting tomorrow. A 3D collection of games including Super Stardust HD, WipEout HD, Pain and part of Motorstorm: Pacific Rift will be released to coincide with this. Those who already own these games will have an option to upgrade them for FREE.
The stereoscopic 3D package showcases the power and technology of the PlayStation 3 to everyone. SCEE President Andrew House said that the combination of PS Move and stereoscopic 3D "allows us to create an ever more compelling, realistic and immersive experience."

ReplyDeletei agree give me move. Because: 1. control is more important then graphics anyway and like the last guy said we are STILL stuck with a last gen controller (the duelshock) and the move is going move gameplay forward for the BETTER. 2. the move will be cheaper then a 3d tv.

ReplyDeleteI like to sit on a couch after a long day at work and play my games, I can only do that with a traditional controller. Besides, Dualshock 3 is motion sensitive, pressure sensitive, gives force feedback, is wireless, has built in bluetooth, and is rechargeable... Really not so "last gen."

ReplyDelete1. Gba carts had tilt control in them and besides that doesn't come close to 3d control like the move can do.
2. the ps2 had pressure sensitive buttons and triggers.
3. the gamecube made wireless mainstream with the wave bird. and that doesn't advance gameplay mechanics in anyway
4. all bluetooth does is help the wireless connection not the gameplay mechanics in anyway
5. being rechargeable doesn't help gameplay at all.
6. and to be fair the xbox 360 pad is last gen also. (not trying to be a fanboy about this just trying to make a point.)
Move is next gen because it brings fundamental gameplay advancements to game control. THATS what makes a controller next gen when compared to others before it.
Now hope that clears things up. The duelshock 3 is a last-gen controller, no getting around it, even sony pointed that out. And, like alot of other people, i cant wait for move to bring next gen control to the ps3.
How does pointing out how outdated the last gen controllers like the Duelshock 3 are make you an "xbot"?. Like the person above me pointed out the Xbox 360 also has a last gen controller at the moment.

ReplyDeleteHeh, the thing is that last gen controllers ARE broke and people some people just dont seem to realize that. I mean, if they arent broke how come a duelshock 3 cant even match the precision of a mouse???. And if a duelshock isnt broke why cant it offer 3d control?. the Ps-move can offer precise/realistic/1:1,3d control in gaming. And make videogames progress to a point where they really need to be. Videogames are about progression in ALL areas NOT just graphics.
ReplyDeleteThe videogame industry shouldn't stop game controller progress just because of you are too tired after a days work. dont get me wrong, i respect that. but maybe you should watch a movie or something if videogames are beginning to be too much for you. Or, do like i do when i want to do something fun but physical and rest up for a little bit after work or wait till the weekend to play a game with next gen control. Just dont ruin videogames for the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteThe only people i know (adults aswell as children) that prefer the duelshock over the move are just people that are too lazy to move more then their thumbs more more then 10 mins at a time. The rest of us know that this is the future of videogames and its a change for the best.
ReplyDeleteYeah because the Wii is so next gen. I mean, look at the awesome power that the Wii posses'. I feel like I'm in the future while I playing it. You guys are all idiots for arguing about the fucking controllers for christ sakes. All of the systems have their pros and cons and I don't think that there is one specific thing over the other that makes a console "next gen". It's a combination of many different things (wireless technology, processing power, network functionality, controller input, etc.) Just because the DS3 can't do 1:1 movement doesn't mean that its last gen. and if I recall correctly the WiiMote doesn't do 1:1 either so you have yet to play with a true next gen controller by your standards.

Your logic is very flawed and you should think about what you say before you speak because it makes you look like an idiot. I do agree that innovation leads to better products, but everybody has their own playing style and preferences so who are you to tell them that they are wrong? I own all three consoles and I play the PS3 more but that doesn't mean that I'm lazy because I don't wanna fling my WiiMote all over the place. It all comes down to individual preference. Don't judge other people because of their playing style and don't think that you can force everybody to play the same way you do.

ReplyDelete5. If the 3ds doesnt have a controller that can do 1:1 control that doesnt mean its not next gen....But, on the other hand, if there isnt any improvement to the control over the ds then the control will be last gen.
ReplyDelete7. The standard wii next gen controller can do a version of 1:1 control via the sensor bar if the devs use it right but its not as good as the ps-move. (For proof look up an early wii game called Elebits. It may have been a kids game but it had revolutionary control. too bad that type of control didnt prosper on to mature titles but its the wii so what do you expect.)

9. if a game comes out and its mindless imprecise unrealistic shoveware thats made just to cash in off of KIDS and doesnt put next gen controllers to GOOD use...dont buy it!!!. After all you dont buy games that dont use last gen controllers in any worthwhile way do you?.

ReplyDelete9b. If you have TRULY done your research on ps-move you will know that just by design dev's will almost have to use the ps-move in a 1:1/realistic/precise way. (And its NOT just a wii next gen controller with wiimotion+ for the ps3. do your research).

ReplyDelete12.before you came along the only time people (on both sides) that said someone was wrong was when they got a fact wrong. and just because you have a "playing style" and preference doesnt give you the right to hold back game controller progress and game control progress. I mean, some people (including me) like 2d platformers. Does that mean i or they want all games to only use d-pads and that we want all games to be playing 2d platformers?. No. as i said take your own advice and let progress happen in game control and dont let your fillings be so easily hurt and fly off the handle and be so judgmental.

ReplyDeleteAs an Xbox 360 owner i can say that the move looks sweet and as a fps fan i hope that the 360 gets a move like controller. Like someone else pointed out, the move is the closest thing we have as a mouse on the consoles.
